A graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Pacific Martine Training Institute and the Open University of British Columbia, Mr Shirlaw also spent time teaching at the Canadian Coast Guard College.

With thirty years of experience in various facets of the marine industry including time at sea, Mr Shirlaw not only is a wealth of knowledge, but can easily deliver presentations that your audience can feel comfortable with. 

The expertise of Mr Shirlaw is widely recognized; having worked with diverse groups such as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Naval Institute Press and ABC News.
